We’re currently seeking a versatile Junior Developer (1-3 years of experience) with a passion for building solutions that impact both sectors. This full-time, hybrid role (1-2 days per week in office) is perfect for someone who is eager to grow their skills and make a significant impact in a supportive, multidisciplinary team.

Essential Skills:

PHP: Capable of writing clean, efficient code and troubleshooting complex issues.

HTML/CSS: Must be able to create responsive layouts and style components effectively.

JavaScript/jQuery: Should be comfortable implementing interactive features and fixing bugs.

MS SQL/MySQL: Expected to design, query, and manage databases efficiently.

Preferred Skills:

Bootstrap: Familiarity with grid systems and responsive design principles is required.

Building and Connecting to APIs: Understand RESTful services and have experience integrating third-party APIs.

Additional Valuable Skills:

Understanding of QA and Data Privacy (GDPR): Awareness of key principles and best.

Regex: Should understand how to create and apply regular expressions in practical scenarios.

Cross-Platform Mobile App Development: Experience in developing and deploying mobile applications is beneficial.

Programming Languages: Experience with Python or .NET to support diverse backend systems.

Single-Sign On (SSO) Implementations: Experience with SAML for secure and seamless authentication processes.

Server Management: Knowledge of IIS/Apache configuration, and managing AWS environments including EC2, security groups, and VPC.

UI/UX Design: Understanding of user interface and user experience design principles to enhance web and mobile applications.

Experience:

For this role, your experience comes from established course work and related projects from a post-secondary education (BCIT or similar) and from 1-3 years real-world work experience.

Environment:

As a small team in a non-tech company, we are looking for someone with a range of skills. This is not just a simple dev position where you will be a small part of a big team being given discrete tasks. You will interact with non-technical staff and need to be responsible for multiple aspects of your projects. This role will span multiple companies in different industries. 

This is a full-time, salaried position. The role will be Hybrid, work from home and in office, located in downtown Vancouver. Candidates must be based in Metro Vancouver and able to work in-office part-time.
